CCS - WARM SMOKY EYE
Cocoa Color Stories are back with a bit more focus this year! We are going to create individual stories for eyes, face, and lip looks! Lets dive in, shall we?
I used to be SO afraid of the all-mighty smoky eye. We've all been there. A little too much black shadow or a lack of blending can have you looking all types of wrong, super fast! But never fear my fellow beauty lovers - the key to the perfect smoky is ...wait for it...practice! 🤣😩
There are definitely certain methods and techniques that can make creating a smoky eye easier, but I've also learned that choosing the right transition colors is equally as important. There are surprisingly many many different color combos that go into creating a smoky eye. Recently I've fallen in love with what I like to call a "warm smoky eye." It has hints of orange, olive, and pine before it finally fades to black. It's not too dark while still complimenting my undertone.
Check out the color story below! Let us know how you like to create your smoky eye in the comments section!
"Vivid, Evolve, Cat Eye, & Granite" are shadows from the Morphe 39A Dare to Create palette.
"Lightyear" is from the Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette.
"Complimint" is an EyeDeal crayon from Dose of Colors.
