Get the Look - Graphic Eyeliner

From the fashion runways to the streets of IG, graphic eyeliner is everywhere. It is without a doubt, one of my favorite ways to spice up a makeup look. This trendy take on eyeliner feels extremely luxe, but it is actually a lot easier to achieve than it looks.

You can easily finesse one yourself with these five easy steps.

STEP ONE

1 . Start with a neutral eye look. I love palettes like Huda Beauty’s Chocolate Obsessions or Artist Couture’s Supreme Nudes to create a warm nude canvas to work with.

STEP TWO

2. Plan out lines with an eye pencil. It might feel a little scary to draw big black lines on your eyelid, but softly sketching out where you want to place your lines will help with that fear. If you are unsure of where to place your line, try tracing the area right under your brow bone.

You are going to need a product that actually mimics how it feels to sketch with a real pencil. That’s why I love using Make Up For Ever’s Artist Pencil in “Whatever Black” for this step.

step three

3. Draw out a winged liner. This step is actually optional - you don’t need a winged eyeliner to pair with your graphic eye liner. BUT, if you are like me and are rarely seen without one, you are going to want to go ahead and trace out a wing with your pencil eyeliner as well.

step four

4. Retrace everything with liquid liner. Now here’s where the drama comes in. Retracing your lines with a striking liquid liner is really going to make this eye look stand out. I typically reach for NARS Climax Waterproof eyeliner to complete this step. You can also opt for a more colorful choice as well.

step five

5. Add falsies or add mascara - If you are falsie lover, go ahead and pop on your favorite falsies to complete this look! If not, you are going to want to find a really great mascara that really makes your lashes pop. I have loving Ami Cole’s Lash Amplifying Mascara and would definitely recommend using it for this step.
